Aloha, y’all! I want to tell you a little about myself!
I love nothing more than teaching women and kids of all ages about God’s amazing plan as revealed in His Word. I currently love my role as pastor’s wife at University Avenue Baptist Church, in Honolulu, Hawaii, where my husband is the senior pastor. I love serving women through Bible Study and encouragement. My handsome husband, Dr. Chris Irving and I have been in ministry together for over 20 years, although our service to the Lord began long before that, as we both grew up in the Church. I remember asking Jesus to be my boss when I was just eight years old, but it wasn’t until my college years at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor that I began to truly follow Jesus. I felt God’s special call to ministry in 1998 and I’m honored to serve Him wherever I go.
I married Chris in 2000 and we have six crazy kids, Matt, Jake, Karalyn, Katie, Kylie and Ben.
When I’m not chasing my kids, I enjoy playing the piano, teaching Scripture, blogging at thestronghome.com, and dating my husband.
