Your theology matters.
What you believe about God matters.
What you believe about the Bible matters.
2 Timothy 3:2-7 says that there are people out there in this world that look really nice and godly, but they are actually really nasty. They have:
“… the appearance of godliness, but deny its power. Avoid such people. For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.”
2 Timothy 3:5-7
There are preachers and teachers and writers and speakers out there who look like godly people but THEY. ARE. NOT. That’s not really a politically correct thing to say these days, you know. We’re encouraged not to judge and we’re told to be tolerant. But that’s a dangerous road to walk down because that road is awfully wide and full of people.
So why does your theology matter?
These godly-looking people are being used by the enemy to seek and kill and destroy you, my friend. Satan knows that you’re too smart to be lured away from the truth by something obvious, so he uses the things that are far less obvious to lead you astray. He uses the things that look so good and seem so good to fool you.
Scripture even says that these false teachers will be sneaking into households to capture weak women.
Think about the voices you let into your home. Who is doing the speaking? Are you listening numbly and believing everything you hear and read or do you measure it all against God’s Word to test and see if it’s true?
Your theology matters because your life is at stake. There’s no faster way for Satan to get a foothold on your family than by sneaking in through you.
You, sweet sister, are his target. Your husband is his target. Your children are his target.
It’s time to figure out what the Bible actually says and stand firm on the Truth.
Your theology matters.
