A Peek into our Week

This week was hard. We faced a lot of life-stuff that knocked us down and made us cry and made us lose our minds at times. But there are certainly good times if you look for them, even in the middle of a rough week.

We’ve got FOUR. MORE. DAYS. of distance learning and then we’re out for summer! I’m really excited to be done, although I’m not too sure what I’m going to do with these kids to keep their brains from turning to mush. I’m sensing a lot of beach time in our future, especially when I finish this term in seminary and I don’t have to spend so much time studying!

working from home with a cute coworker
This week was filled with lots of work. Lucky for me I have a really cute coworker. One day I’ll tell you all about my job. I love what I get to do and I’m so thankful that I’ve been able to continue to work from home during all this craziness.
helping with food distribution for the needy
Chris and I got to volunteer with UABC and Hamama Church in the weekly food distribution at the Key Project in Kahalu’u. I’m so glad I got to go this week!
coconuts and ducklings
We got home on Saturday and found that “our” duck, Melissa had five ducklings! We cheered for her and offered her our best congratulations! Melissa and her duck-husband, Bill, hang out in our yard sometimes and people walking by have started telling us they like our ducks! I never thought I’d have a duck but here we are!
playing on the rocks at Kailua Beach
Not every day is a day at the beach but Saturday sure was! We had fun exploring the tide pools and climbing over all the rocks. We had fun with some friends at the beach for the first time in months!
twins playing on the rocks at Kailua Beach
These two had fun figuring out how to navigate the rocks in bare feet. They are loving all of the exploring we get to do here. And they’re just beautiful. Sometimes I still can’t believe God gave us twins!
