Oh, Hawaii, you have my heart. We got to get out and enjoy so much of Hawaii’s beauty this week. Chris and I ended the week with a snorkel-date at Three Tables Beach on Oahu’s North Shore. I chased a rainbow fish and a clownfish and even the humuhumunukunukuapua’a, Hawaii’s state fish!
The week began in much the same way that it ended – at the beach! We headed out early on Monday morning to play at Kailua Beach, which is the kids’ favorite beach by far. The teenager slept in but the three littles had fun!
When we got home from the beach I gave everybody a haircut. This really isn’t a new thing for us. Back in 2005, Ms. P, a sweet friend at our first church, taught me how to cut Chris’ hair and I’ve been giving him the high-and-tight just about every other week since. I cut Katie and Kylie’s hair this time too because they begged for it!
The girls took over the kitchen on Wednesday while I worked. I walked out and found these Nutella cupcakes that were probably the best cupcakes I’ve ever had! Katie’s got some crazy-good baking skills!
On Friday Chris took all three girls hiking. They hiked Judd Trail and had a blast! Hawaii has the most beautiful trails to hike!
While they hiked, Ben and I cuddled up to watch Aladdin. I stayed home to work while they hiked, but this turned out to be a much better option!
Karalyn and I hit the Manoa Farmer’s Market today and loaded up on produce, hoping that we can make healthier choices this week. Those dang Nutella cupcakes are just sooooo good!
This was a beautiful view to wrap up our week. Tonight, I’m praying that each of you will find the beauty where you are and enjoy the ordinary moments that fill your days. Aloha.
